Inspired by family holidays to locations overlooking Ailsa Craig. I was told the tale that a giant used to use it as a stepping stone to get between Scotland and Ireland. The leaping melody is inspired by this and the arpeggio sections simulate the waves lapping upon the rock. This composition uses DADGAD tuning which has subtle Scottish undertones in its harmony.
